Toygan Avanoğlu — Biography

Toygan Avanoğlu is an actor who moves easily between television series, feature films and the comedy stage; wide audiences know him today above all as Paşa in Güldür Güldür Show and as Murat in the C Takımı films. Born Sabri Toygan, he had also played basketball for the national team before turning to acting.

As a child he took singing lessons for a year at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center and trained there as an actor. His first film was Kanal-İ-Zasyon (2009), and on television he reached viewers in 2012 with the series Düşman Kardeşler. He followed it with roles in Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Güzel Köylü and Hanım Köylü. In 2016 he took the lead in the film Hayati Tehlike, and in the following years he appeared in Ayla, Deli Aşk, Yol Arkadaşım and Hababam Sınıfı Yeniden. He played Necmettin Çekilmez in Meleklerin Aşkı and Sefer Kadıoğlu in Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk.

In the 2020s he drew attention as Doctor Fatih in Bursa Bülbülü, and he also acted in Sağ Salim 3, Son Bir Tatil, Veda Partisi and Çakallarla Dans 7. He also performs stand-up shows. In 2019 he married the actress Şiva Behrouzfar, and the couple appear together as guests on television programmes.
