Burç Kümbetlioğlu — Biography

Celal Burç Kümbetlioğlu was born on 14 September 1980 in Sivas and studied Public Finance at Bülent Ecevit University before turning to acting. He made his screen debut in the 2009 series Hanımın Çiftliği and quickly became a familiar face in Turkish television and film.

He went on to appear in series such as Eve Dönüş, Milat, Çırağan Baskını, Aramızda Kalsın, Ben Onu Çok Sevdim, Böyle Bitmesin, Veda and Sen de Gitme, and in films including Ayla, Hayati Tehlike, Sarıkamış Çocukları, Kırımlı, Ayhan Hanım, Biz Babasız Büyüdük and Kanal-i Zasyon. He reached a wide audience playing Sergeant Major Bayram in the Fox TV series Savaşçı.

In the 2025-2026 season he played the character Boran in the series Uzak Şehir, before leaving the production in the spring of 2026 amid reports of on-set tension; he later said the public reaction to his departure was far larger than he had expected, and bid an emotional farewell to the show.
