Nihat Altınkaya — Biography

Nihat Alptuğ Altınkaya is a Turkish actor and model born on September 28, 1979 in Karabük. Having played professional volleyball for a time, Altınkaya worked as a security guard after finishing high school; when he decided to become an actor, he trained at Ekol Drama. In 2005 he competed in Fear Factor, and in 2012 he won the Survivor Ünlüler - Gönüllüler competition.

Altınkaya stepped into acting with Yaprak Dökümü and went on to appear in series such as Karadayı, Kara Para Aşk, Kara Ekmek and Yüksek Sosyete. He reached a wide audience with the character of Lieutenant Colonel Erdem in Söz (2017). Recently playing the character Yalçın in the series Uzak Şehir (2024), the actor also made headlines in 2026 by appearing in a promotional clip of the Ministry of National Defense addressed to young people.
