Wounded Heart (Yaralı Kalp) (translated)

Remzi Jöntürk directed the 1969 Turkish film Yaralı Kalp ("Wounded Heart"), shot in color. Classed as emotional drama, it is adapted from a novel. At its center is a love story between a spoiled, wealthy young woman and an open-hearted engineer. The leads are played by two well-known actors of the day, Ediz Hun and Filiz Akın.

In the story Filiz Akın plays Şermin İnan and Ediz Hun plays Selim İnan. The film's key elements include love, passion, jealousy and revenge, along with a fashion show, models and Westerners; the models are played by Yelda Gürani, Gülen Yetkin and Gül Barut. The cast also includes Metin Serezli (Ekrem), Müjgan Ağralı (Ayla), Kadir İnanır (Ersin), Ali Şen (Üzeyir), Kayhan Yıldızoğlu (the lawyer Müşvik) and Reşit Çıldam (Arif Usta), with Zeki Sezer as a gambler.

Remzi Jöntürk and Bülent Oran wrote the screenplay, and Naci Duru produced. The film was made by Duru Film, with Necati İlktaç as director of photography. Nermin Candan, Baysan Yüksel and Suat Ergil are credited for the songs. The film is dubbed: Nevin Akkaya voices Filiz Akın, Hayri Esen voices Ediz Hun and Sadettin Erbil voices Metin Serezli.
