Metin Serezli — Biography
Born Ahmet Metin Serezli on 12 January 1934 in Istanbul, he studied law, journalism and art history at Istanbul University before beginning his acting career as an amateur with the university's youth theatre in 1954. In 1971 he founded his own company, Çevre Tiyatrosu, and went on to build a decades-long career spanning stage, film, television and voice work.
On screen he was remembered for playing the Scarecrow in Ayşecik ve Sihirli Cüceler Rüyalar Ülkesinde and journalist Yaşar in Zübük, while television audiences knew him from Kavanozdaki Adam and for voicing the character Taci in the long-running series Sihirli Annem. Married to fellow actress Nevra Serezli for more than four decades, Serezli died in Istanbul on 10 March 2013.
