The Turkish Detective

The Turkish Detective is a Turkish-British-American crime drama series adapted from Barbara Nadel's award-winning Çetin İkmen novels. Developed by Ben Schiffer for Paramount+ and produced by Ay Yapım, it premiered on 15 December 2023.

Set in present-day Istanbul, the story follows Mehmet Süleyman, a Turkish-born, London-raised police officer who is transferred to Istanbul and joins the team of seasoned Inspector Çetin İkmen. Together they investigate murders across the city, with the clash of Süleyman's British habits and İkmen's local instincts shaping their partnership.

Haluk Bilginer stars as Çetin İkmen, alongside Yasemin Allen and Ethan Kai. The series ran for a single season of eight episodes, concluding on 4 January 2024.
