Morning Star (Sabah Yıldızı) (translated)
Sabah Yıldızı ("Morning Star") is a 1968 Yeşilçam drama, directed and produced by Türker İnanoğlu, with a screenplay by Bülent Oran adapted from a novel by Muazzez Tahsin Berkand; the film runs about 84 minutes.
The story centers on Nevin, a young woman orphaned early in life, who is declared the "wife" of a man she has never met after her guardian forges a marriage document. Amid mistaken identities and clashing interests, the arrangement unexpectedly grows into real affection.
Filiz Akın and Ediz Hun, one of the era's favorite on-screen pairs, take the lead roles, with Gülsüm Kamu also appearing in the cast.
