Once for Ever

Once for Ever is a 1991 Iranian social drama in Persian, running roughly 93 minutes. Sirus Alvand both wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Majid Modarresi.

Its cast draws on well-known names of Iranian cinema, including Khosrow Shakibai, Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Jahangir Forouhar, Reza Rooygari, Mahshid Afsharzadeh, Ateneh Faghih Nasiri and Morteza Ahmadi.

The picture was made with a nod to Jalal Moghaddam's 1970 film Panjereh ("The Window"), itself indebted to the story of "A Place in the Sun"; Alvand's distinctive handling of the material earned him the Crystal Simorgh award for best director.
