Neuilly sa mère!
Released in 2009 and directed by Gabriel Julien-Laferrière, this French comedy was written by Philippe de Chauveron, Djamel Bensalah and Gilles Laurent. Samy Seghir plays a North African teenager uprooted from housing-project life and sent to live in the wealthy Parisian suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine, where he must adjust to an unfamiliar, privileged world.
Reviewers likened its comic handling of class differences to another French comedy from 1988. Seghir shares the screen with Valérie Lemercier, Michel Galabru, Ramzy Bedia, Éric Berger, Julien Courbey, Booder, Mokobé, Pierre Ménès and Chloé Coulloud. Its popularity paved the way for a follow-up shot nearly a decade later, in 2018.
