A Moroccan in Paris

Un Marocain à Paris (Arabic title: مروكي في باريس) is a Moroccan comedy. Saïd Naciri directed it and also takes one of the leading roles, and the script is his as well. The film was made in 2011 and released in Morocco in February 2012. It runs about 110 minutes. Sources give its language as Arabic and as French.

The story centres on Najib, a young man living in Morocco. He decides to go to France to find his brother, an architect he has not seen for twenty years, and enters the country illegally. On the way he meets various obstacles, money problems above all, and ends up caught in a drug-trafficking affair.

Alongside Naciri, the cast includes Booder, Julien Courbey, Sebastian Barrio, Jean-Marie Bigard, Naïma Bouhmala, Jean-Pierre Castaldi and Francis Lalanne.
