Ramzy Bedia — Biography

Ramzy Habib El Haq Bedia was born on 10 March 1972 in Paris's 16th arrondissement, and is a French actor, screenwriter, film director, and radio host of Algerian descent.

He launched his career as a comedian after meeting Éric Judor in 1994, forming the comic duo Éric et Ramzy and hosting their own program on the M6 channel. In 1998 he became widely known playing opposite Jamel Debbouze on the television series H, and he took his first film role the following year in a teen comedy directed by Djamel Bensalah. Playing a window cleaner in Charles Nemes's 2001 film La Tour Montparnasse Infernale, a script he co-authored alongside Judor, gave him his breakout part. The pair then starred together in 2004, in the spy spoof Double Zéro, directed by Philippe Haïm, and in a film adaptation of Les Dalton. His later credits include Once Upon a Time in the Oued, Bled Number One, and Neuilly sa mère!, and he took on the villain role of Zorglub for a 2018 outing of The Adventures of Spirou and Fantasio.
