Vandal

Vandal is a 2013 French-Belgian drama film directed by Hélier Cisterne, with Gilles Taurand among the screenwriters. Shot in French, the film runs 84 minutes.

The story follows Cherif, a rebellious, solitary teenager who has been detained by the police several times. After his latest offence he is placed under the supervision of his uncles, who enrol him in a summer school and set him up with a part-time job — his last chance to straighten out. But when he encounters the youths who spray-paint the city walls at night, the world of graffiti opens up before him.

Zinedine Benchenine leads the cast as Chérif, alongside Chloé Lecerf as Elodie and Émile Berling as Thomas, while Jean-Marc Barr plays Paul. The ensemble also features Ramzy Bedia, Marina Foïs, Brigitte Sy, Corinne Masiero and Isabelle Sadoyan.
