Double Zero

Double Zero (Double Zéro), shown abroad as French Spies, is a 2004 French spy comedy helmed by Gérard Pirès. It pokes fun at secret-agent and adventure movie conventions, with nods to Luc Besson hits like Taxi. The leads, Will and Ben, are two bumbling would-be spies played by Ramzy Bedia and Éric Judor, who met in 1994 and first made their name performing comic sketches together on Paris stages. The ensemble also includes Édouard Baer, Rossy de Palma and Lionel Abelanski. A veteran of French comedy, Pirès made his directing debut in 1968 with Erotissimo and scored his biggest commercial success in 1998 with Taxi. Shot in French and English, the film was produced jointly by France and the United Kingdom.
