The Lemon Tree (Limon Ağacı) (translated)

Limon Ağacı (released internationally as Lemon Tree) is a 2008 Israeli-French-German drama directed by Eran Riklis. It follows a Palestinian widow's legal fight to save her family's lemon grove after Israel's Defense Minister moves in next door and orders the trees removed for security reasons — a battle that unexpectedly draws her closer to the minister's wife.

Co-written by Riklis and Suha Arraf, the film had its world premiere in the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival and earned European Film Award nominations for best actress and best screenplay. The cast includes Hiyam Abbas, Ali Süleyman, Tarik Kopty, and Makram Khoury.
