Les risques du métier
Les risques du métier is a French drama film directed by André Cayatte and released on 21 December 1967. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Jean and Simone Cornec, it deals with a teacher who is unjustly accused of pedophilia. Cayatte wrote the screenplay together with Armand Jammot and Jean Cornec.
The film marked the feature-film debut of Belgian singer Jacques Brel, who starred alongside Emmanuelle Riva, Jacques Harden and Nadine Alari and also co-created the soundtrack with François Rauber. Critics praised Brel's performance, and the film was later shown in West Germany as Verleumdung and in East Germany as Berufsrisiko.
