Hürkuş: Hero in the Skies (Hürkuş: Göklerdeki Kahraman) (translated)

Hürkuş: Hero in the Skies is a 2018 Turkish historical drama film. Written by Savaş Korkmaz and directed by Kudret Sabancı, the production features visual effects created by one of its co-producers, Mehmet Çetin.

The film dramatizes the life of Vecihi Hürkuş, regarded as Türkiye's first aircraft designer and manufacturer. Its narrative interweaves Hürkuş's passion for aviation, which began in 1912 when he was only sixteen, with the present-day story of Mehmet and Selin, two young people who follow in his footsteps while pursuing their own dream of designing airplanes. Hilmi Cem İntepe portrays Vecihi Hürkuş, supported by a cast that includes Gizem Karaca, Miray Daner, Bora Akkaş, Zeyno Eracar, Murat Arkın and Cem Uçan.
