Bandit Halil (Eşkiya Halil (Haydut)) (translated)

Eşkiya Halil (Haydut) ("Bandit Halil") is a 1968 Turkish black-and-white film directed and produced by Alp Zeki Heper, who also wrote the screenplay together with Aydın Engin. Cengiz Tacer served as cinematographer on the roughly 41-minute drama-adventure, produced by the Sinema Film company.

The story follows Halil, an honest young villager who breaks out of prison to take revenge on a local landlord (ağa) who murdered his father, abducted his fiancée and set out to seize the villagers' land by force, turning Halil into an outlaw of the countryside.

Cüneyt Arkın stars as Halil, with Piraye Uzun as Liliyar and Erol Taş as Duran Ağa. The supporting cast features well-known Yeşilçam names including Aliye Rona, Hasan Ceylan, Müjdat Gezen, Mümtaz Ener and Ali Şen.
