Gallipoli 1915 (Çanakkale 1915) (translated)

Çanakkale 1915 is a 2012 Turkish war film directed by Yeşim Sezgin and produced jointly by Fida Film and Örümcek Yapım. Turgut Özakman wrote the screenplay, adapting it from his own 2008 novel Diriliş: Çanakkale 1915. The film opened theatrically in October 2012 on around a thousand screens across Turkey and Europe, though it never received a commercial release in the United States.

The film portrays the Gallipoli Campaign of World War I, which unfolded on the Gallipoli Peninsula from April 1915 onward, depicting the resistance against the Allied navy's attempt to force the straits. Running 128 minutes, it features a cast that includes Barış Çakmak, Şevket Çoruh, Ali Ersan Duru and Bülent Alkış.
