Movie · 1967 · 3 people

Ana is a 1967 black-and-white Turkish drama written and directed by Ömer Lütfi Akad. Centered on a rural blood feud, the story follows a family forced from their village, focusing on a woman left to carry the household alone after violence claims her husband's life.

Türkân Şoray and Erol Taş lead the cast, with Kadir Savun also featured. Regarded as one of the notable works of Yeşilçam's social-realist strand, Ana is often described as a forerunner to the "Anatolian Trilogy" Akad would go on to direct.
