Murat Akkoyunlu — Biography

Murat Akkoyunlu, born on May 20, 1973, in Bursa, is a Turkish actor with deep roots in the theatre. He began on stage with the Bursa Tobav Youth Theatre and went on to work with companies such as the Bursa State Theatre, Tevfik Gelenbe Tiyatrosu, Tiyatro Ti, and Tiyatro Çisenti, later joining Gökhan Semiz's E.S.E.K. ensemble for plays including Üçüncü Türden Yakın İlişkiler.

His television debut came through series like Bizimkiler, Koltuk Sevdası, and Cesur Kuşku. From 2005 he performed weekly sketches on Okan Bayülgen's talk show Televizyon Makinesi, and years later he reinforced his standing as a comedian with his characters on Güldür Güldür Show. He also produced children's programming for TRT.

His breakthrough to a wide cinema audience came with the role of Del Piero Hikmet in the Çakallarla Dans comedy franchise, launched in 2010, a part he reprised across many sequels. He has also appeared in films such as Sağ Salim, Arkadaşım Max, and Dört Köşe, and in the television series Şevkat Yerimdar. In the summer of 2026 he returned to the set for the franchise's eighth installment.
