Didem Balçın — Biography

Didem Balçın was born on May 18, 1982, in Ankara. After graduating from the Theatre and Acting Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, she moved to Istanbul and began working in theater and television.

She made her screen debut in 2003 with the series Gurbet Kadını and Serseri Aşıklar, later appearing in productions such as Rüzgarlı Bahçe, 29-30, Gözyaşı Çetesi, Gurbet Yolcuları, Sevgili Dünürüm, Kasaba, and Olacak O Kadar. She became widely known for playing Selcan Hatun in Diriliş: Ertuğrul, and also built a strong following among cinema audiences through her role as Fatma in the Çakallarla Dans film series.

Her filmography also includes Gulyabani, Oflu Hoca'nın Şifresi, Göl Zamanı, and Açlığa Doymak. Balçın has spoken publicly about seeing no age limit to acting, saying she intends to keep performing on stage and screen for many years to come.
