Ceyhun Yılmaz — Biography

Ceyhun Yılmaz (born 5 October 1976 in Istanbul) is a Turkish comedian, actor, poet, and radio and television presenter. He grew up in Bahçelievler, attended Kazım Karabekir Primary School, and graduated from Yeşilköy 50. Yıl High School in 1993. He enrolled in the economics faculty of Anadolu University but left in his second year, later studying stage and performing arts at Istanbul Bilgi University.

He began his career in 1995 as a production assistant at Star TV, then worked as a sports reporter for TGRT before moving into radio at Best FM in 1999. He also performed in hundreds of stage productions at the Kadıköy Halk Eğitim Merkezi theatre. During his military service he toured Turkey performing shows for soldiers. From 2004 onward he presented talk shows and sports programmes on channels including TRT, Cine5 and Habertürk. As an actor he had a long-running guest role in Hayat Bilgisi and appeared in series such as Leyla ile Mecnun and in comedy films including Hababam Sınıfı Askerde, Maskeli Beşler and the Çakallarla Dans series.

A published poet since 2002, he is also known for donating the proceeds of his books to education and health foundations, and he has continued his radio career on various stations.
