Farah Zeynep Abdullah — Biography
Farah Zeynep Abdullah was born on 17 August 1989 in Istanbul, the daughter of an Iraqi Turkmen father and a mother of Turkish-Bosnian descent. She began high school at a French lycée in Istanbul and finished in England; an offer received while at university made her known in 2010 as Aylin in the series Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki. Her cinema breakthrough came in 2013 with the role of Mediha in Yılmaz Erdoğan's Kelebeğin Rüyası.
In 2014 came Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi, Kurt Seyit ve Şura and Unutursam Fısılda, followed by Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem (2015) and Ekşi Elmalar (2016). In 2018 she played Ajda Pekkan in Arif V 216 and Begüm in Bizim İçin Şampiyon. In 2022 she made a major impact portraying the famous singer in Bergen; in 2023 she appeared in Bihter. A two-time SİYAD award winner, Abdullah is also involved in singing and producing.
