A Small September Affair (Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi)

Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi (A Small September Affair) is a Turkish romantic drama film written and directed by Kerem Deren, released on Valentine's Day, 14 February 2014. Produced by Ay Yapım with Kerem Çatay as producer, the film features cinematography by Gökhan Tiryaki, who also contributed to the screenplay, and an original score by Toygar Işıklı. A song Nil Karaibrahimgil recorded for the film topped the charts for a long time.

The story follows Eylül, a beautiful, cheerful young woman who seemingly has everything she wants in life, until an accident erases the last month of her memory. While family and friends insist all is well, her growing unease leads her to Bozcaada, the island where she spent those forgotten days. There, a scruffy stranger named Tekin tells her she fell in love with him on that island, setting off a journey of recollection moving between past and present. Farah Zeynep Abdullah and Engin Akyürek star, alongside Onur Tuna, Ceren Moray and Ege Aydan. The film won the best original music award at the 25th Ankara International Film Festival.
