Ece Yaşar — Biography

Ece Yaşar is an actress born in Ankara in 1994; her family originally comes from Denizli, and she is the only child of Ümmühan and Mehmet Ali Yaşar. Her exact birthday is given differently from source to source. During middle and high school she trained in ballet at Hacettepe University's Ankara State Conservatory. She decided to become an actress while still in high school and graduated from the acting department of Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. She gained her first experience on stage, and also worked as an assistant director and as a voice artist for commercials.

Her first screen role was Eda in the series Kara Sevda, broadcast in 2015-2016. Wide recognition came with Karaca Koçovalı in the Show TV series Çukur, a part she played from 2017 until spring 2021, when the character was killed off. During this period she also made her film debut as Maral in Direniş Karatay (2018).

In 2021, the year she left Çukur, she appeared in the Exxen series Ölüm Zamanı and played Derya Güven in Annemizi Saklarken. In 2023 she returned to television as Ceylan in Kısmet. In a 2024 interview she described every role as a world of its own for her.
