Devrim Yakut — Biography

Seher Devrim Yakut, born on 27 May 1968 in Ankara, is a Turkish stage, film, and television actress. After graduating from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History and Geography, she performed with the Adana State Theatre from 1994 to 2003 and was also involved with the Adana Theatre Workshop, which she helped establish. She joined the Ankara State Theatre in 2003, later serving as its deputy director and director, and has taught acting both at her alma mater and in Bahçeşehir University's graduate program.

Yakut made her television debut in the series Hisarbuselik and went on to appear in productions such as Kardeş Payı, Cesur ve Güzel, Beni Unutma, Vicdan, Annem Uyurken, and Hayat Sırları, while building a film career with titles including Kelebeğin Rüyası, the Düğün Dernek series, 8 Saniye, Bana Masal Anlatma, and Ekşi Elmalar. She returned to the screen in 2025 playing Hayriye in the series Rüya Gibi, and her films D.I.S.C.O. and Sonunda Sen are now in production.

Married to fellow theatre actor Alper Kut since 2012, Yakut revealed in the autumn of 2025 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, the disease that had earlier taken her mother's life, and later announced that she had overcome it following treatment. She continues to work on stage and screen.
