Salur Kazan: Zoraki Kahraman

Salur Kazan: Zoraki Kahraman is a 2017 Turkish comedy directed by Burak Aksak, freely and humorously adapted from the Book of Dede Korkut. It reworks the classic tale in which Salur Kazan, a bey of the Oğuz, leaves his encampment in the care of his son Uruz while he goes hunting; through carelessness the camp is overrun and his family taken captive, and Kazan sets out to pursue the raiders and win them back. The cast includes Zafer Algöz, Necip Memili and Devrim Yakut. The film gives the epic legend a comic, contemporary retelling.
