Cihan Ercan — Biography

Mehmet Cihan Ercan is an actor and voice artist born in Ankara on 25 May 1984. In 2006 he completed the acting programme of the theatre department at Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. During and just after his studies he worked on stage and in dubbing in Ankara, appearing in pieces such as a meddah-style performance of Keşanlı Ali Destanı and Sersem Kocanın Kurnaz Karısı. Alongside acting he has also done some screenwriting.

He made his television debut in 2006 in Ah Şu Çocuklar, followed by smaller parts in series such as Suç Dosyası, Bitmeyen Makara, Komşu Köyün Delisi and Bir Ömür Yetmez. His breakthrough came in 2012 when he joined Leyla ile Mecnun as Hidayet. He then consolidated his place on screen with Ben de Özledim, the Fox series No: 309 as Erol Sarıhan, and Erkenci Kuş as Muzaffer, nicknamed Zebercet. In 2022 he joined the casts of Aşk Çağırırsan Gelir and Senden Daha Güzel, and in 2025 Bir İhtimal Daha Var.

In cinema he is best known for comedies, playing Cemal in Deliha, Kubilay in Bana Masal Anlatma, Efkan in Kara Bela and Halil in Kaçma Birader.
