A Round of Applause

A Round of Applause (Turkish: Kuvvetli Bir Alkış) is a Turkish psychological drama series created by Berkun Oya that premiered on Netflix on February 29, 2024. Spanning several decades, the story follows a man wrestling with existential angst and longing for his past as he navigates life within his quirky family.

Aslıhan Gürbüz, Fatih Artman and Cihat Süvarioğlu take the leading roles. The protagonist's adult struggles are rooted in emotional wounds from his early years — from infancy through adolescence — and above all in his relationship with his parents. The ensemble also includes Cengiz Bozkurt, Serra Arıtürk, Kayra Orta, Nur Sürer, Settar Tanrıöğen, Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, Devrim Yakut and Menderes Samancılar, while creator Berkun Oya himself appears on screen as a teacher.
