Denis Moschitto — Biography
Denis Moschitto was born on 22 June 1977 in Cologne to a Turkish mother and an Italian father, growing up in a multicultural household that would later inform much of his on-screen work. He has become one of German cinema's familiar faces, and over time expanded from acting into directing and screenwriting as well.
Moschitto broke through in the early 2000s with Kebab Connection (2004) and Chiko (2008), and reached wider audiences with Almanya - Welcome to Germany (2011), a comedy about migration and identity that echoed elements of his own background. His filmography also includes the popular comedy sequel Zweiohrküken (2009) and more dramatic turns in Coming In (2014) and the series KBV - Keine besonderen Vorkommnisse (2021). In 2023 he stepped behind the camera for the first time, writing and directing the film Schock.
