Zweiohrküken
Til Schweiger wrote, produced and directed Zweiohrküken (released in English as Rabbit Without Ears 2, literally "Two-Eared Chick"), a 2009 German romantic comedy in which he also plays one of the leads. It is the sequel to Keinohrhasen from 2007. The film received the "Wertvoll" (valuable) rating from the German Film and Media Evaluation Board (FBW) and runs 124 minutes. Its title refers to a stuffed toy sewn by the main character.
At the centre of the story are the former tabloid reporter Ludo Dekker (Til Schweiger) and his girlfriend Anna (Nora Tschirner). Matthias Schweighöfer (Moritz), Ken Duken (Ralf), Edita Malovcic (Marie) and Alwara Höfels (Miriam) are also in the cast, together with Thomas Kretschmann, Heiner Lauterbach, Uwe Ochsenknecht, Jasmin Gerat, Pegah Ferydoni and Tom Beck; cast lists also name Emma Schweiger, Luna Schweiger and Madita.
Schweiger wrote the script with Anika Decker, and some sources also name Torsten Künstler as a director. The film is a co-production of Barefoot Films and Warner Bros. Germany, with music by Daniel Nitt. It premiered in Berlin on 24 November 2009 and in Vienna on 1 December 2009, and opened in cinemas across Germany and Austria on 3 December 2009.
