Burak Hakkı — Biography

Burak Hakkı was born on 23 May 1972 in Istanbul. He is a graduate of the Department of Econometrics at Istanbul University and played basketball during his university years.

In 1994 he won the Best Model of Turkey contest; in 1997 he finished second at the Top Méditerranée contest in Tunisia. Between 1995 and 2003 he worked with agencies in Italy, Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland, taking part in more than a thousand fashion shows.

He began acting in 2000 with the film Aşk Aynı Adreste and rose to prominence in 2003 with the role of Murat in the series Gurbet Kadını. He portrayed Hüseyin Kenan in Dudaktan Kalbe (2007) and Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat in Diriliş Ertuğrul (2014). He appeared in the films Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam'ın Oğlu, O Kadın, Semum and Hava Muhalefeti, and in 2022 he played Kenan Karaman in the series I Gefyra.

In 2026 he left city life and settled on a farm in Çanakkale; the same year he reunited with Aslı Tandoğan in the film Kara Fatma.
