The Bridge (I Gefyra)

I Gefyra (Η Γέφυρα) is a 2022 Greek-Turkish crime thriller series released on ANT1+, the streaming platform of the ANT1 group. Directed by Giannis Charitidis and written by Kostas Gerampinis, Dimitris Emmanouilidis and Alkis Politis, it adapts the acclaimed Swedish-Danish series The Bridge and is regarded as one of the largest fiction productions ever made in Greece.

The story opens when a body is discovered on the bridge between Greece and Turkey, right on the border line, forcing Greek detective Sofia Bakali and Turkish detective Kenan Karaman to share jurisdiction and cooperate in the hunt for the killer. The series premiered on May 27, 2022, and concluded after a single season of ten episodes; it has not yet aired in Turkey. The cast includes Burak Hakkı and Pinelopi Tsilika.
