Alessandro Preziosi — Biography

Alessandro Preziosi was born on 19 April 1973 in Naples, Italy. Educated at the University of Naples Federico II, he began his career on the stage before becoming a sought-after name in Italian film and television as well.

He drew attention on screen with the 2004 film "Vanilla and Chocolate" and went on to build a strong presence in Italian cinema through historical dramas such as "I Vicerè" and "La Masseria Delle Allodole" (The Lark Farm). He also became a familiar face on television through the series "Inspector De Luca", played the young Augustine in the miniseries "Augustine: The Decline of the Roman Empire", and reached a wider audience with the film "Loose Cannons" (Serseri Mayınlar).

Preziosi took part in the internationally produced series "Medici" in 2016, and played the character Yanez de Gomera in the 2025 series "Sandokan". Also known in the Italian press for his long relationship with actress Vittoria Puccini, he continues to work across both stage and screen.
