Blood of the Losers

Blood of the Losers (Il sangue dei vinti) is a 2008 Italian war drama directed by Michele Soavi. Adapted from the book of the same name by journalist Giampaolo Pansa, the film looks at Italy in the aftermath of the Second World War, focusing on the reckoning that followed the end of the conflict and on the stories of those who found themselves on the losing side.

The ensemble cast includes Alessandro Preziosi, Valerio Binasco, Michele Placido, Barbora Bobulová, Philippe Leroy and Giovanna Ralli. The film was presented out of competition at the Rome Film Festival on 26 October 2008.
