Zachary Quinto — Biography

Zachary John Quinto was born on June 2, 1977, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and trained at Carnegie Mellon University before building a wide-ranging career as an American actor, producer, and screenwriter.

He broke through playing the villain Sylar on Heroes, then took over the part of Mr. Spock in the rebooted Star Trek film series, reprising the character in Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond. He played the antagonist Charlie Manx on NOS4A2, and his turn as Dr. Oliver Thredson on American Horror Story: Asylum brought him a Primetime Emmy nomination. Between 2024 and 2026 he both led and produced the NBC medical drama Brilliant Minds. His film work includes Margin Call, Hitman: Agent 47, Snowden, and Hotel Artemis, alongside smaller television parts on 24 and So Notorious and stage credits such as Angels in America and The Glass Menagerie.
