Heroes

TV Series · 2006–2010 · 2 people

Heroes is an American science fiction and superhero drama created by Tim Kring, which aired on NBC across four seasons from 2006 to 2010. It follows ordinary individuals who, in the wake of a worldwide solar eclipse, discover they possess extraordinary gifts: a Tokyo office worker who can bend time through sheer will, a dreamer trying to convince his politician brother that he can fly, a high school cheerleader who heals instantly from any injury, an artist whose addiction-ravaged life is haunted by paintings of what is yet to come, a street cop who overhears people's thoughts, and a Las Vegas stripper whose reflection conceals a dangerous secret. Gradually these strangers realize their lives are intertwined and that their shared destiny is to prevent a catastrophe that could kill millions. Borrowing the visual language and sprawling, multi-episode arcs of American comic books, the series drew more than 14 million viewers per episode in its debut season, NBC's best drama premiere in five years. After its cancellation in 2010, the story continued with the 13-episode miniseries Heroes Reborn in 2015.
