Body of Lies (Yalanlar Üstüne)

Body of Lies (released in Turkey as Yalanlar Üstüne) is a 2008 American espionage thriller adapted from David Ignatius's 2007 novel of the same name. Written by William Monahan, directed by Ridley Scott and produced under Scott Free Productions, the film opened in the United States on October 10, 2008, reaching Turkish cinemas on December 19, 2008.

Set in the Middle East, the story follows the CIA and Jordanian intelligence as they hunt the elusive terrorist leader Al-Saleem; field operative Roger Ferris, sent to Jordan, is caught between his Washington superior and the head of Jordanian intelligence, whose conflicting methods strain their alliance. Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe and Mark Strong lead the cast, joined by Golshifteh Farahani and Oscar Isaac. Shot largely in Washington and Morocco, the film earned mixed reviews while drawing praise for Scott's direction and the leads' performances.
