The Man in the Raincoat

The Man in the Raincoat (original title L'Homme à l'imperméable) is a 1957 French-Italian comedy-thriller directed by Julien Duvivier. The screenplay, written by Duvivier together with René Barjavel, is based on James Hadley Chase's 1954 novel Tiger by the Tail. The film is headlined by Fernandel and Bernard Blier; Duvivier had previously teamed with Fernandel on two successful Don Camillo pictures earlier in the 1950s. Shot in French, the film opened on 22 February 1957 and competed for the Golden Bear at the 7th Berlin International Film Festival.
