Selam: Bahara Yolculuk (Selam Bahara Yolculuk)

Selam: Bahara Yolculuk is a Turkish drama film directed by Hamdi Alkan, released on March 13, 2015. Inspired by a true story, it follows İsmail, a teacher devoted to education.

İsmail travels to Kyrgyzstan with his wife Sevgi, hoping to open a new and hopeful chapter in their lives. Yet building a school in a foreign land and fighting ignorance proves far harder than he expected. Despite every obstacle, the couple refuses to turn back, determined to see their struggle through to the end at the foot of the Tian Shan mountains.

The film was shot in Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. The screenplay is credited to Erkan Çıplak, Hale Çalap, and Tuba Altınışık, with music by Yücel Arzen. The cast brings together Turkish performers alongside Kyrgyz actors.
