The Great Vagabond (Muhteşem Serseri)

Muhteşem Serseri ("The Great Vagabond") is a 1964 black-and-white Turkish film directed by Ülkü Erakalın, with a screenplay by Bülent Oran and production by Şahan Haki.

The story follows Naci, a resourceful journalist nicknamed "the Great Vagabond," who is assigned to interview a queen and her daughter, visiting Istanbul while hiding from the press for security reasons. Unknown to him, the real princess has secretly been replaced by a poor young woman the queen met in Beirut. Disguising himself as a servant to get inside the mansion, the journalist stumbles into a chain of mishaps that give the film its comedy-tinged adventure flavor.

Ayhan Işık and Fatma Girik star in the leading roles, with Süleyman Turan and Ahmet Tarık Tekçe rounding out the main cast, alongside supporting performances from veteran actors such as Hulusi Kentmen and Bedia Muvahhit.
