Los Serrano

TV Series · 2003–2008 · 4 people

Los Serrano is a Spanish comedy-drama series that began airing on the Telecinco channel on 22 April 2003. Produced by Globomedia, it ran until 17 July 2008 for eight seasons and 147 episodes. The story takes place in Madrid, in the fictional neighbourhood of Santa Justa.

The series tells how Diego Serrano, a widower living with his three sons, and Lucía, a divorced woman raising two daughters, meet again by chance after many years and marry. Brought under the same roof by this marriage, the two families try to understand each other despite their differences in habits and character; much of the show's humour also arises from this shared life.

The main roles are played by Antonio Resines, Belén Rueda, Fran Perea, Víctor Elías, Jorge Jurado, Verónica Sánchez and Natalia Sánchez; the large cast also includes actors such as Leticia Dolera. Begoña Álvarez Rojas is among the directors of the series. Its theme song is “1 más 1 son 7”, performed by Fran Perea, who played the character Marcos. Los Serrano was adapted in Greece as Eftyhismenoi Mazi and in Italy as I Cesaroni.
