The Crossroads (Kavşak) (translated)

Kavşak (The Crossing) is a 2010 Turkish drama film written and directed by Selim Demirdelen, released across Turkey on October 1, 2010. Set in Istanbul, it explores how seemingly separate lives intersect and the unforeseen consequences that arise from these encounters.

At the center of the story is Güven, a modest chief accountant at a private company with a happy marriage and a beloved daughter, whose orderly world is upended when he comes home from an ordinary workday to find his house deserted. Güven Kıraç stars alongside Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Cengiz Bozkurt, Umut Kurt, Yücel Erten, Ayla Arslancan and Mete Horozoğlu. The film was selected for the 47th Antalya Golden Orange and the 17th Adana Golden Boll film festivals, winning several awards at the latter, including best director and best actress.
