Solitude in the Castle (Kaledeki Yalnızlık) (translated)

Kaledeki Yalnızlık (Solitude in the Goal) is a Turkish feature film written and directed by Volga Sorgu. Shooting began on 1 April 2010; the picture was made by Çimen Yapım with Mazlum Çimen as producer.

The film takes football, and the shadier side of that world, as its subject. Its posters set the cast behind a goal net and carry the taglines "en güzel goldü aşk..." (love was the finest goal) and "Kale düşerse kent de düşer" (if the goal falls, the city falls too), together with the subtitle "match-fixing and pride".

Numan Çakır, Özlem Tekin and Tolga Sarıtaş lead the large ensemble, with Yıldırım Bayazıt, Nur Sürer, Menderes Samancılar and Erkan Can also billed at the top of the credits. The cast further includes Erkan Bektaş, Seda Güngör, Feyzullah Gürdaş, Başak Koyuncuoğlu and the former footballer Ümit Karan.
