Elit İşcan — Biography
Elit İşcan was born on 12 January 1994 in Istanbul to an architect father and a computer-programmer mother. Discovered as a schoolgirl at İstanbul Kemer College when director Reha Erdem held auditions on campus, she made her screen debut in the 2006 drama Beş Vakit as "Yıldız," then drew wider attention sharing the lead in Hayat Var and starring in the long-running series Küçük Kadınlar.
İşcan gained international recognition for her role as "Ece" in the acclaimed 2015 film Mustang, for which she received the Best Actress award at the 46th International Film Festival of India. She went on to appear in Put Şeylere, Tuzdan Kaide and the series adaptation Hamlet, and played "Yasemin" in the 2023 film Suyun Üstü.
Beyond acting, İşcan has moved into directing: her debut short film, "Uyuyamadım, Eve Gidiyorum," had its world premiere in Riga, Latvia in 2026. Her next feature, Sarı Zarflar, is set for release the same year.
