U.S. Marshals (Kaçakların Peşinde)

U.S. Marshals is a 1998 American action thriller directed by Stuart Baird and written by John Pogue. Based on the universe created by Roy Huggins, it serves as a sequel to the 1993 film The Fugitive, though this time the story centers not on Dr. Richard Kimble but on Deputy U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard, played once again by Tommy Lee Jones. The film was a co-production of Warner Bros. and Kopelson Entertainment.

Gerard and his team pursue Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes), a double-murder suspect who escapes after his prisoner transport plane crashes. As the investigation unfolds, evidence emerges that Sheridan may have been framed as part of an international conspiracy, turning suspicion in an unexpected direction. The cast also includes Robert Downey Jr., Joe Pantoliano, Daniel Roebuck, Kate Nelligan, LaTanya Richardson and Irène Jacob. Scored by Jerry Goldsmith, the film opened on March 6, 1998, grossing about $102 million worldwide against a $45 million budget and receiving mixed reviews from critics.
