Festival (Can Şenliği) (translated)

Can Şenliği is a Turkish drama series broadcast on TRT 1 in 1989, adapted for television from a work by the writer Abbas Sayar. Directed by Tunca Yönder, the production ran for a total of four episodes.

The series features an extensive ensemble cast including Ülkü Ülker, Mehmet Atak, Savaş Yurttaş, Çetin Öner, Ejder Akışık, Gülsen Tuncer, Mehmet Ulay and Erol Demiröz, with performers such as Altan Erkekli, Sevim Çalışgir, Rana Cabbar and Hülya Karakaş also appearing in supporting roles. Characters like Topal Kenan, Hamamcı Mustafa and the storyteller Mahmut Ağa bring to the screen the world of Anatolian people depicted in Sayar's writing.
