Tekin Temel — Biography

Tekin Temel was born on 24 June 1968 in the Akhisar district of Manisa. After graduating from the Theatre Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University, he made his screen debut in 1995 with Reyting Hamdi and, over a career spanning almost three decades, appeared in numerous series, including Acı Hayat as Şükrü Ahıskalı and Ezel as İsmail.

A new phase of his career began in 2011 with Suskunlar, followed by roles in İntikam, Güneşi Beklerken, Sevdaluk, Kaçak Gelinler, Aşk ve Günah, 46 Yok Olan, Sevda Kuşun Kanadında, Meryem, Yeni Gelin and Masum Değiliz. He reached his widest audience playing Fuat in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (2018-2019), and went on to play Yekta Veziroğlu in Afili Aşk and Simon in Kuruluş Osman. On stage he appeared in plays including Cimri, Zaptiye and 12 Öfkeli Adam.

In his final years he took part in projects such as Cenaze, Serhat and Bir Yemin Ettim. He died of a heart attack in Istanbul on 23 October 2024 at the age of 56, while preparing to head to a film set, and was buried at Ihlamurkuyu Cemetery.
