Once Upon a Time in Cyprus (Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs)

Once Upon a Time in Cyprus (Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs) is a historical drama that aired on TRT 1 from spring 2021, made jointly by Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; its storytelling reaches into war drama as it deals with the conflicts on the island. The producing company is TMC Film, and the first episode reached viewers on April 1, 2021. The story is set in 1960s Cyprus and centres on the Turkish community's resistance to the extremist Greek Cypriot organisation EOKA-B, which campaigned for Enosis. Ahmet Kural is in the cast.

Emre Özdür and Başar Başaran wrote the screenplay. The series was shot in Turkish; its Greek title is Κάποτε στην Κύπρο.
