Ezgi Eyüboğlu — Biography

Ezgi Eyüboğlu was born on 15 June 1988 in Istanbul; on her father's side she is related to writer Sabahattin Eyüboğlu and painter Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu. She turned to acting after joining a theatre club at university and later earned a master's degree in advanced acting, having earlier placed third in the Elite Model Look contest and runner-up in Miss Turkey and worked briefly as a model. She appeared in commercials from 2010, moved to television the following year with Kalbim Seni Seçti, and around the same time gained wide recognition for playing Aybige Hatun in Muhteşem Yüzyıl. In the years that followed she took roles in Sudan Bıkmış Balıklar, İntikam, Yasak, Ulan İstanbul, Adı Mutluluk and Payitaht Abdülhamid, played a part in the film Yol Arkadaşım 2, and later starred in Bir Aile Hikayesi and Teşkilat. She married Kaan Yıldırım in 2016 and separated from him three years later. In December 2025 she was detained as part of a drug investigation after testing positive; she denied claims that the substances had come from her home and was released a short time afterward.
